Why choose this Vancouver tour ?

Rise and shine! Drive through the Fraser Valley to Inch Creek Hatchery in Mission and you will see salmons and big sturgeons. Then we will drive to Weaver Creek Spawning Channel to watch the return of salmon. A 3-kilometer shallow stream channel was artificially built for salmon to reproduce their next generation. When the salmon returns every autumn, a “red stream” will be formed, which is extremely spectacular. In the afternoon we will take a visit to Harrison Hot Springs and enjoy the picturesque scenery. You can have lunch at a local specialty restaurant. Or you may prepare your lunch in advance and enjoy it beside the beautiful Harrison Lake! Finally, we will go to a famous local farm to enjoy the fun of picking fruit and buying fresh fruit at the same time. Lastly, we will return to Vancouver with a full experience to finish the day.

Inch Creek Fish Farm

The Weaver Creek Spawning Channel was built in 1965 to provide additional spawning habitat for sockeye salmon. In this channel, which is three kilometers long, sockeye salmon, and smaller numbers of chum and pink salmon, deposit their eggs naturally. Since this channel was built as an extension to the existing Weaver Creek, more salmon can spawn naturally than in the creek alone. The channel holds about 45,000 spawning adults. Recent returns to the system range from 1,000 to 100,000 adults. The spawning channel provides a stable flow of clean water for the salmon eggs and alevins in the gravel. As a result, the channel is protected from flooding and/or freezing that could kill eggs and alevins.

Harrison Hot Springs (60 mins, including lunch time)

The town of Harrison is a famous hot spring resort on the outskirts of Vancouver, less than a two-hour drive from Vancouver. This small town with a large scale and complete facilities attracts countless tourists every year because of its unique hot springs and beautiful lakes and mountains.
