What makes West Coast Big Tree Beach and Waterfall Adventure a unique experience ?

This beautiful road meanders through mountain passes, rivers and canyons. This is the road that will take us to our destination, and back home, but do not underestimates it’s beauty and appeal. The drive is well worth it and features many beautiful quick stops.

Sombrio is one of Vancouver Island’s most beautiful beach.
This callets and pebbles beach is perfect for rock houding and surf watching but the best part is hidden.
Your guide will be able to take you to this hidden waterfall by following a small creek up to this amazing sandstone canyon ending with this beautiful and refreshing waterfall.
This is the highlight of the trip for a lot of people.
We also will be able to enter and pass through a sea cave if the tide allowes.

We will be grabbing lunch at this amazing cafe and enjoy a bit of downtime, bathroom break and wifi access between adventures. They also feature a small selection of books and souvenirs.

Botanical Beach is an amzing shale covered beach with sandstone tidepools that are filled with colorful ocean creatures.
During the summer months, witness all the life of the intertidal zone bubbling in those pool and in the winter, see the powerful waves crash on the shore and forming the sandstone waves towering on the side of the beach.

Amazing grove of old growrth Cedars over 1000 years old.
This amazing sight is a short 30 minute walk to pass through giants and make our way to “The Gnarliest Tree” in Canada. You will be fully immerse in the old growth and your guide will be able to point out why these fragile and rare ecossytem and so important to protect.
Port Renfrew is a hot spot for Big Trees and logging is a big industry so these groves are quite rare and those who make it out are lucky to see such a rare and pristine sight.

This 1000 year old giant Sitka Spruce is a 2 minute walk from the road but such a beautiful and peaceful sight. This amazing beast of a tree has been standing by the river since the Viking were exploring the seas and started landing in the North Americas.
