The Montreal History Center is a small museum that focuses solely on the history of the city of Montreal
This building was originally a fire station, built in 1903.

Stop At: Site archeologique du Parlement du Canada-Uni / marché Sainte-Anne, Pl. d’Youville, Montréal, QC H2Y, Canada

200 years ago, you would have been standing in the middle of the Saint-Pierre river (the name of the street where you are. It was covered over in 1833 to allow the construction of the Sainte-Anne market.
In front of the old fire station, was the Marché Sainte-Anne. A large public market which hosted the Parliament of the Province of United Canada from 1844 to 1849.

It opened in 1983 and has 51,280 square meters of exhibition, reception and meeting rooms.

Pass By: Theatre St-James, 265 Rue Saint-Jacques, Montreal, Quebec H2Y 1M6 Canada

The Canadian Bank of Commerce originally occupied this building, constructed in 1909. Today this building houses the St.James Theatre.
The Canadian offices of the White Star Line – responsible for the Titanic, had offices in this building between 1909 and 1939. On the night of April 12, 1912, several friends and families gathered here to learn about the fate of the passengers.

Here is a Pantheon style building. This was originally the head office of the Bank of Montreal built in 1817.
It is now a museum about the history of that bank.

From Alexandra Pier, look at the peninsula in front of you. On the left, near the King Edward pier is Dieppe Park.
This peninsula separates the water in the old port from the stronger currents in the St. Lawrence River.
